Hogfish action is HOT near shore this past week! We are doing extremely well on the hogfish around that 40-80ft depth on our near shore trips like the 5 hour half day and 10 hour all days and the private fishing charters.

Red grouper have been spotty near shore, but as you work deeper your chances of finding a keeper sized red grouper get better and better. Larger strips of squid, whole threadfins with the tail cut, or live pinfish are great options for the red grouper.

Red grouper action is going well for us around that 100-120 ft area but the unfortunate part as of late is weather restricting our ability to get out there and really hunt for them in any fashion.

This was a special trip where we left our bait at home and didn’t take anything with us besides some metal jigs and specialty rods for a unique public slow pitch jigging trip aboard our Flying HUB 2!

The hogfish bite has been really good this past week especially at the start of the week we saw an incredible hogfish bite around 40-50ft of water on our half day fishing trip.

Mangrove snapper have been consistent near shore lately out deeper like the lane snapper, however, like lane snapper we are seeing them here and there shallower but if you can get out there

Hogfish were tougher this week for us near shore too with bumpy conditions and stirred up waters it made it tough to target those guys. However, we did catch a few around the 40-60ft range. However even that area was stirred up from the rough conditions which made it tricky.

Red grouper action is going extremely well for us in the deeper offshore waters. We are seeing some really fat red grouper while fishing 150-200ft of water.

The red grouper bite was super-hot for us this past week as we transitioned from gag grouper fishing to the red grouper. This past week on our 12 hour extreme trip this past Wednesday we caught a boat limit of keeper red grouper that means everyone on board completely limited out on keeper red grouper.
