Dolphin Action and East Winds

The east winds this week have been strong, pushing schools of mullet out of the passes and into the back protected bay waters. This has made the dolphins in the area extremely active, and guests on our tours have had up-close encounters with playful pods as they swim, leap, and feed along the shoreline. The quieter waters right now also mean more space on our dolphin tours, sunset cruises, island ferries, and pleasure cruises, giving guests a more relaxed and personal experience.

Sunset Cruises

Our sunset cruises have been nothing short of spectacular lately. The skies over the Gulf of Mexico have created incredible reflections and vibrant colors, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening on the water. Guests can enjoy the views with complimentary beer and wine while watching dolphins and other wildlife along the coast.

Cruise News: Island Ferries

Manatee and Ray Sightings

During our 3-hour Shell Key shelling trips, guests spotted a number of manatees cruising the beaches, offering a rare and memorable opportunity to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat. In addition to manatees, large groups of rays continue to move through the area. These graceful creatures are often seen along our routes to and from the passes or the islands, delighting wildlife watchers and photographers alike.

Shelling and Island Exploration

The shelling has been excellent at Shell Key Island this week. While many visitors have stayed off the water due to the winds, our larger, safe vessels allow us to navigate the protected back bay waters and give guests access to the best shelling spots. Guests have enjoyed exploring the shoreline and finding a variety of shells, making the trip both fun and educational.
